In the What is Biology? kit, students will read the What is Biology? leveled reader and discover the basic concepts of the study of living things: living things eat, grow, and move; plants make their own food; living things are found in different environments; biologists study living things.

The reader is full-color with fun illustrations and includes a pronunciation guide for scientific terms. Students will go on a nature walk, learn how to record their observations in a field notebook, and observe living things in their natural environment.  The student notebook provides question prompts for students to ask and then answer their own questions about biology.

Inside the box:

  • 24 page full-color Reader (Lexile-Scored 250: for reading level 1-3, interest level 2-5).
  • student activity pages with assembly instructions
  • field notebook
  • student backpack
  • water bottle
  • bug box
  • QR code for the step-by-step video tutorial where Dr. Woodbury shows your student “how to RATATAZ” the lesson.
