With the Atoms kit, students will discover that atoms are like building blocks that make up everything we touch, taste, smell, or see. Each different type of atom has a particular name and a specific number of electrons. Atoms link together using their electrons.

Students read a full-color reader with fun illustrations. The reader includes a pronunciation guide for scientific terms. Students then work through a short hands-on experiment in the student activity notebook learning how to make good observations – the first step of the scientific method. Students use the magnifying glass to observe the items in the bag of objects. The student notebook provides question prompts for students to ask and then answer their own questions about atoms.
